The Balsham bar is a very relaxed space “in the round” with a number of different tucked-away areas surrounding the central bar. Think open fires, leather sofas, beams galore, wooden floorboards and lattice stained-glass windows. There is a more informal dining area in the bar as an alternative to the barn restaurant.
We strive to offer you a true taste of the region, with both our food and our drinks. We keep a range of local real ales passing through the hand pumps. More regular fixtures are Woodforde’s Wherry (Norfolk) and Adnams Ghostship (Suffolk) and smaller local micro breweries, such as Nene Valley Brewery (Oundle), Wolf Brewery (Norfolk) and Nethergate Brewery (Suffolk)
We have over 40 wines on offer, supplied by Cambridge Wines and Adnams. It’s a pretty comprehensive list, covering the noted regions and containing a few lesser known gems, accommodating most pockets and palates. At any one time 12 of these wines are available by the glass.
